Privacy Policy

Thinknest is made for children, so privacy isn’t a feature — it’s the foundation.

Last updated: July 14, 2026

The short version. The Thinknest app collects no personal information about you or your child — no ads, no analytics, no accounts, no third-party trackers — and everything your child does stays on your device. The only time we receive anything is if you choose to email us — for support, or to hear when the app launches — and then just your email address and message. Details below.

Who we are

Thinknest (“Thinknest,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a children’s app published by Butler Technology Concepts, LLC (“ButlerTC”). This policy explains how the app handles information. It applies to the Thinknest iOS app and this website.

Information we collect

Nothing automatically. The Thinknest app is built to work without collecting personal information. Within the app we do not ask for a name, email address, phone number, birthday, or any other identifying detail — there is no sign-up, no login, and no user profiles tied to a real person. The only information we ever receive is what you choose to send us if you email for support (see When you contact us).

Specifically, Thinknest does not:

  • collect personal or contact information;
  • show advertising or work with ad networks;
  • use analytics, tracking pixels, device fingerprinting, or advertising identifiers;
  • include third-party SDKs that gather data;
  • access your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or location;
  • require an internet connection to play.

Information stored on your device

To remember where your child left off, Thinknest saves a small amount of gameplay information locally on your device only — for example, which pictures have been colored, which puzzles are complete, and difficulty pacing. This information never leaves the device, is never sent to us or anyone else, and is not linked to any identity. Deleting the app removes it completely.

When you contact us

Contacting us is optional, and the app never does it for you. If you choose to email us — from our support page, or to ask us to let you know when the app launches — we receive what you send, usually your email address and your message. We use it only to reply to you, to resolve what you wrote about, or to send the one launch note you asked for. We don’t add you to a mailing list, we don’t use it for advertising, we never sell or rent it, and we delete it once it’s no longer needed. If a child’s message reaches us, we handle it the same way and keep only what we need to reply to the parent or guardian.

Children’s privacy

Thinknest is designed for young children and is intended to be used with a parent or guardian’s involvement. Because the app collects no personal information, and support emails are meant to come from a parent or guardian, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable). Our practices are built to align with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (including provisions for children, “GDPR‑K”), and Apple’s guidelines for apps in the Kids category.

Settings that aren’t meant for children — including the option to reset saved progress — sit behind a simple parents-only gate to help keep them out of little hands.

Third-party services

Thinknest does not integrate any third-party advertising, analytics, or social networking services. The app does not contain external links or in-app purchases that would take your child elsewhere.

If you download Thinknest from Apple’s App Store, your use of the App Store is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. Any information Apple collects as part of distributing apps is handled by Apple, not by us, and we do not receive personal information about you from Apple.

How we use and share information

The app collects no personal information, so there is nothing gathered there to use for marketing or to share. The one exception is an email you choose to send us — for support, or to ask about launch — which we use only to reply, to resolve what you wrote about, or to send the single launch note you requested; never to add you to a mailing list or for advertising. We never sell or rent your or your child’s information to anyone, and we don’t share it with third parties except where we’re legally required to.

Your choices and controls

  • Reset progress: A parent can clear all saved progress from within the app’s parents-only settings.
  • Delete everything: Removing the app from your device deletes all locally stored gameplay information.
  • Play offline: Thinknest runs entirely offline, so you can keep your device disconnected and lose nothing.

Data security

The best protection for personal data is not to collect it. Because Thinknest keeps its small amount of gameplay information on your device and transmits nothing, there is no server, database, or account for that information to be exposed through.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the app handles information, we’ll update this page and revise the “Last updated” date above. If a future change were ever to involve collecting personal information — which is not our plan — we would describe it clearly here and seek any consent required by law before it took effect.
